I took some photos a while back of some inspiring DIY items that are super simple to make. My sisters, mom and I love to go to this large antique mall just north of Charlotte. It’s about a 2 hour drive from where we live in Greenville, SC – but worth it. As the new house construction moves along – it’s getting me in the mood to take a trip up there again. In the meantime, here are some photos from my last trip.
I love the simple stenciling on these clay pots. So easy – so cute. Here they are displayed in an old wire wall rack with some spanish moss and a piece of burlap – LOVE IT!
This is a simple sew project – adorable table runners. You could also make decorative towels using the same idea. Don’t you love the ruffled ends? Another item with stenciling.
I’ve seen these jars at every craft store. How cute are they with embellishments. I think these would also make beautiful little gifts.
I absolutely loved how these vintage frames were painted, sanded and displayed. I thought it was super simple but super creative.
Remember the paper flower post I made with my old encyclopedia book page? LOOK – I had forgotten about this amazing creation a woman had made out of old book pages. It was used as part of her display – So artistic right?
Here’s another photo of it, so you can get a slightly different perspective of it. Look at those too cute felt owls…
We have such a great time going on these trips. We only get to do it about once per year – I would love it if we could go more often. I will do a part 2 and part 3, so you can see the rest…don’t forget to subscribe to my blog, so you won’t miss a posting.
Looks like so much fun! Can’t wait for more!
I love that wreath made from the book pages! I took a picture of something too (I think it was like a paper lantern) made out of old sheet music. It’s so amazing what you can do with what might be considered trash to most people.
